The Rockets Fundraiser Show & Sputnik Ratau (DWS)

Young gifted athletes are an important part of our countries future. And that is why we spoke to Samantha, mother of 12 year old provincial colours NAPS (National Archery School Programm) recipient Montoa Cupido. He wants to go to represent South Africa in Canada! In order for this to happen Montoa needs to raise funds and that's why they're hosting an event on the 3rd of March 2018. This event will have performances by 'The Rockets', Adee Jay and DJ Lee. Woodside Special Care Centre & Retina SA

At the start of this new week we spoke to Gregory Sirmongpong (fundraiser,) Lauren Fuller (occupational therapist manager) and Gerald Weinberg (parent). All are involved in the Woodside Special Care Centre which is a residential home caring for intellectually disabled patients. They came to speak to us about the Intellectual disability awareness month which is starting in March. Giving us a better insight on life and work with people who are intellectually disabled and the incorrect stigmas still associated with these people. The Umtshayelo Foundation

In studio with today we had Andrew Lumour from The Umtshayelo Foundation speaking to us about their organisation and how it's helping to change the lives of 100's of children in Cape Town. The Umtshayelo Foundation seeks to be a bridge between those who have something to offer and those who are in need. The Rock Restoration Home

Today on Sakhisizwe we had Kurt Olivier, Denver Losper and Lee Arendse from The Rock Restoration Home speaking to us about their organisation. It's an outpatient treatment facility in the Mitchell's Plain area focussing on prevention and treatment of alcohol and drug addiction. Giving those affected by substance abuse not only a safe space to recover, but also life long support on all other facets of their recovery and reintegration into society. Kurt, Lee en Denver also told us about their own experiences with substance abuse and how those caused them to start up, or get involved with The Rock Restoration Home. Real Ideas Sports Club & Be Your Dream

Today on Sakhisizwe we had two guests in the studio. First we spoke to Xolisa, manager at the Real Ideas Sports Club. Which is an organisation that operates as a catalyst for change within the communities, as most boys here after coming back from school, have absolutely nothing to do rather than sitting out on the streets and experimenting with drugs.   Real Ideas Sports Club gives these boys a chance to play in a competitive football team during their spare time so it's used in a productive and meaningful way.   They are still looking for people willing to be apart of the organisation, specifically those keen to work with girls in the near future as well.   For more info contact: Facebook: Real Ideas Football Club Email: Xsonti25@gmail.com Later in the show we spoke to Afiba from Be Your Dream, a campaign that seeks to offer opportunities to disadvantaged matriculates who are unable to submit their applications for admission to Universities and po
