But she is no longer with the band but has decided to pursue a solo career. She explained more about her musical influence. Cape Town jazz musicians to play at the Hilton Schilder Benefit Concert tonight

We closed off the show with an interview with Jai Reddy – Organiser of the Hilton Schilder Benefit Concert to raise funds towards medical expenses for Cape Town legendary jazz musician who is fighting cancer. The concert is tonight at the Brazil Party at Sea Point’s Civic Centre from 8pm where bands like Hassan’adas, Mac Mckenzie, Allou April and many more great local jazz musicians will perform. Monday July 26th the owner of the G-Spot in Epping Industria has given up his venue from 8.30pm where Errol Dyers, Charlie Louw, Steven Erasmus, Mac Mckenzie, Carambola and Aldridge Schilder and many more jazz musicians will play. All tickets for the benefit concerts will be R50 at the door. There will be a series of benefits happening in an around Cape Town over the next few weeks. 08 July - Labour - Mr Brown talks about the Employment Equity Act

In today's show we were joined on the line by Mr Roger Brown – an attorney at Labour protect. We were talking about Employment Equity. The Employment Equity Act allows the promotion of equal opportunity and fair treatment in employment through the elimination of unfair discrimination and by implementing affirmative action methods in order to allow equal opportunity but what happens when a candidate is over looked because of the colour of their skin isn’t that unfair discrimination, well my expert Mr Brown explained more. 02 July - Arts, Culture & Environment - Artscape brings Umbhiyozo kwa-Langa and Arts Update

In today's show we spoke to Fitzroy Ngcukana and Alfred Magwaca – Project Managers for Umbhiyozo wakwa-Langa. Artscape will host a second weekend of concerts entitled, Umbiyozo Kwa-Langa (Celebrations – Langa) staged in the Johnson Ngwevela Hall from the 9th to the 11th of July. The varied and exciting line-up of concerts on the 9th and the 10th of July include indigenous orchestra and mbira ensemble, indigenous music, dance and praise poetry. The Reggae Splash on the 11th of July will feature Johnny B and Realistic, Sons of Selasie, Azania Reggae Band, Black Dillinger, Mighty Ethiopians, Sista Zo and the Rudimentals. City of Cape Town’s 2010 Green Goal programme wins award

We closed off the show with an interview with Lorraine Gerrans – City of Cape Town’s 2010 Green Goal Manager. The Green Goal programme aims to ease negative environmental impacts from hosting of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and leave a positive environmental legacy. They have two campaigns currently running under this programme – the 2010 Fuel Efficiency Campaign and the 2010 Drink Tap Water Campaign. 01 July - Labour - CRF Institute is looking for 2010 SA’s Leading Managers

On Sakhisizwe today, we heard from Billy Elliott – from CRF Institute. We were talking about their 2010 SA’s Leading Managers campaign. The CRF Institute is the employer brand research and marketing organisation that conducts SA’s Leading Managers and this year the team is looking for more top leaders to step forward to share their success stories. Billy explained more about the criteria and the nomination process. The CRF institute invites organisations based on recommendations by employees and their panel of experts, headed up by Professor Mervyn King and Dr Reuel Khoza.
