St
Joseph’s Home (SJH) is a registered non-profit
organization which has been a pioneer in the field of paediatric intermediate
health care in South Africa. They provide free transitional care for
chronically ill children from disadvantaged families, from hospital to home
through a holistic health and wellness programme.
St Joseph's takes care of children who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses such as HIV/Aids, cancer, arthritis, type 1 diabetes, heart-lung-kidney failures and congenital abnormalities.
Today they host about 500 children per year and they care for disadvantage children and children who don't have any medical support.
