Earthchild Project, enabling others to sow seeds for transformation.

On the 15th July 2019 we had a telephonic interview with Janna from Earthchild Project, a Non-Profit Organization operating in the Western Cape, South Africa.
The Earthchild Project offers complimentary education to under-resourced schools with a focus on the environment, health and self-development.
Their approach to education is holistic, focused on health and wellness, life skills and the environment through different programmes integrated with the school’s curriculum.
Earthchild Project has a vision of a world where individuals are inspired to connect with themselves, each other and the environment.
Janna talked about the organization, their main purpose and their projects. She also talked about their programmes and practical skills like yoga, mindfulness & organic gardening, hiking to over 3500 children and 300 teachers they teach.
According to Janna, yoga and meditation can have a lot of benefits; It provides physical benefits to children and can help them to relax their mind and “it’s really heathy for children to get outdoors, to understand why it’s important to take care of the environment”.
The programs are facilitated by full-time members of staff who consist of a team of 12 people. They do not have events coming up, but if people are interested to learn more of their programmes, you can contact them.
