Producing workplace-ready for graduates


The Independent Institute of Education is a division of the JSE-listed ADvTECH Group, is Africa’s largest private education provider.

The IIE is most accredited registered private higher education institute in South Africa, and the only one accredited by The British Accreditation Council, the independent quality assurance authority that accredits private institutions in the UK. By law, private higher education institutions in South Africa may not call themselves Private Universities, although registered private institutions are subject to the same regulations, accreditation requirements and oversight as Public Universities.

Mr Kriel advise all students still in high school go with their heart when it comes to choosing what they would want to study. It is not always a easy process and most learner still do not know what they want to go into heading into the end of matric exams

The IIE offers a wide range of qualifications, from post-graduate degrees to short courses, on 20 registered higher education campuses across South Africa.

800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese. In May we recognize Child Protection Week!

Child Protection Week is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about the rights and well-being of children.
