Womens Path hosts Women In Leadership, under the theme: Building A Legacy.

We were joined Nowabiso Nisa from Womans Path which is an organisation which focuses on inspiring and empowering woman through education and resources. Upliftment programme cater to all womens needs such as visionary sensory, spiritual, skills development and student mentorship.

 She spoke to us about the Organisations 3rd annual conference at Cape Town Stadium, which seeks to acknowledge and award Women In Leadership, under the theme: Building A Legacy. 

 The Gala dinner will happen on Friday, 06 July 2018 (from 6PM-10PM) and will see 7 women from the government, construction, business and community and community members acknowledged and awarded for their hard work and contribution to society. Saturday, 07 July 2018 (9AM-5PM) will be open to members of the public to join in on the celebrations and features various spekaers, entertainment, an expo and activities for the children.

Winter having an effect on Bloodstocks

The Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) is appealing to all donors to donate blood as blood stocks are critically low. “The winter is having a severe effect on our bloodstocks and we are amidst a severe blood stock shortage”, says Marike Carli, Public Relations Manager at WCBS. There is a critical shortage in the O and B blood groups, with only a 2-day supply left. The A-positive blood stocks are also under severe pressure as only a 3-day supply is left. WCBS always aim to have a blood stock level of 5 days. The winter weather is not conducive to going out, and with the continuing storms in Cape Town, they are seeing the effects on their blood stocks. Blood donors suffer from colds and flu during this time and can subsequently not donate blood – up until the resolution of their symptoms .
