Peter Ova 47 year old from Retreat was diagnosed with renal (kidney) Failure in February in 2013; he went through a physical and emotional journey filled with depression, pain and fear.
His son and wife was both a match but, he did not wanted to accept the kidney and got depressed, than received a call from the hospital to notify him that there is a kidney available from a 17 year boy that was shot and killed. The operation took place 4th of May 2014. The operation was duration of 5 and half hours. He now has 3 kidneys, hence being they do not remove your failed kidney.


The Global Kidney Foundation is a non-profit organisation that offers educational and emotional support for renal failure patients, started by Peter Ova.
