Today is the Door to Door Reading Campaign Day

We also heard from Mandy Trevor - Regional Manager at Help2read. Help2read is a child literacy NGO based in Cape Town that operates in primary schools through a volunteer workforce. Today is Door to Door Reading Campaign leading to the celebration of World Book Day which is tomorrow the 23rd of April. Good Samaritans can help solve the literacy crisis by giving the gift of reading by volunteering to read for an hour twice a week. 800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese.
