We also heard from Nashira Abrahams - Dispute Management and Prevention Commissioner at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration or CCMA. We were talking about Working Hours and Notice Periods. The Basic Conditions of Employment laws set maximum working hours and minimum rest and break periods for workers. The law states that workers may not work more than an average of 45 hours a week. Nashira explained more about the basics of working hours. 800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese.
