"2 out of every 100 people diagnosed with breast cancer are men" ~ Breast Health Foundation

We closed off with Louise Turner - Chief Operating Officer for the Breast Health Foundation. According to the Breast Health Foundation, Southern Africa has the highest male breast cancer rate in the world as 2 out of every 100 people diagnosed with the disease are men . The Breast Health Foundation was founded in April 2002 and it aims to educate the public on breast cancer, breast health, increase breast cancer awareness and empower women. The foundation believes men do not seek help due to the stigma attached to breast cancer and therefore stresses that awareness and education is crucial because the disease does not discriminate against gender, age or race.
