September is Female Sterilization Month

We closed off with Colleen Marco - Director of the Association for Voluntary Sterilization of South Africa. September is Female Sterilization month, so Colleen explained more about Sterilization. Sterilization is considered as a permanent method of contraception and therefore one has to be a 100% sure of your decision when considering it. It is done free of charge at many state hospitals or you can ask the local health centre for referral to the nearest service point. 800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese. Child Protection Week is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about the rights and well-being of children.
