Health - July marks Psychiatric Disability Awareness Month

Dr Adelbert Scholtz - A registered counselling psychologist was Instudio to tell us more about the value of support groups and how they operate. July marks Psychiatric Disability Awareness Month and it is reported that an estimated one in six people globally and locally will develop a mental illness or psychiatric disability in their lifetime. Bipolar mood disorders, schizophrenia, depression and anxiety are some of the most common conditions.
