Gender - Perinatal Mental Health Project empowers mothers of Hanover Park

On Sakhisizwe today, we spoke to Liesl Hermanus - Counsellor for the Perinatal Mental Health Project in Hanover Park. We were talking about challenges faced by teenage mothers. PMHP is an independent initiative based at the University of Cape Town. It provides a counselling service in 4 public obstetric facilities in Cape Town as one out of three women living in poverty in South Africa will suffer from a mental health problem related to her pregnancy.
