We closed off with Michelle Arnot - Provincial Manager and Pharmacist for the Child Health
facility based programmes. She joined us to talk about their Measles and Polio Immunisation Campaign. The free Measles and Polio
Immunisation Campaign for children under 5 years will kick off from Monday
April 29th. The Western Cape Government Health urges parents
and caregivers to sign the consent forms for their children to be immunised as
consent forms must then be returned to the crèches where teams of health
workers will immunise the children. Children not attending crèches should be
taken to their nearest clinic for their immunisation to ensure they protect
their children against measles and polio. Round one will commence from April 29th
to May 17th and round two for polio from June 17th to
June 28th. For more information visit your nearest clinic.
