Concerned Pensioners to march to Parliament

We closed off with Derek Kloppers of Concerned Pensioners from across the Western Cape. We were talking about their upcoming march to Parliament in a bid to hand over a memorandum and petition containing their grievances on Tuesday April 30th at 11AM. This follows after collecting 2 500 signatures from concerned pensioners across the province since November last year who are disgraced by the government’s pension of R1 260. The march is expected to start in Keizergracht Street and will proceed up Plein Street. All trains are free for pensioners on Tuesdays. 800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese.
