VJ Green Solutions spreading its wings

We closed off with Julia Modise - Director of VJ Green Solutions. She was here to tell us more about her energy saving, innovative and eco-friendly business and being in a male dominated industry. Julia is also a member of the South African Women Entrepreneurs Network and Leading Women of Africa. Established in 2009 VJ Green Solutions is a South African based company operating from Cape Town but conducts business throughout the country and in different parts of the African continent. The company is accredited by Eskom to install solar water heaters as they were tasked with the geyser replacement project that involved replacing the current high pressure electricity water geyser with the non pressure solar geyser using the Eskom rebate. Those interested in replacing their current geyser with the non-pressure solar geyser or know of people who would qualify are encouraged to contact VJ Green Solutions on condition that households meet Eskom’s requirements. 800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese. Child Protection Week is an annual observance dedicated to raising awareness about the rights and well-being of children.
