SLSJ is advocating for compulsory community service

We also heard from Liat Davis - Chairperson of Students for Law and Social Justice. We were talking about their national campaign of transformation of the South African legal education as well as to advocate for a year of compulsory community service for all law graduates. Students for Law and Social Justice (SLSJ) was founded in 2007 as a South African students organization dedicated to protecting human rights, preventing discrimination and promoting social justice and the rule of law. They believe the current legal education does not equip them with the requisite skills to become legal professionals and consequently resulting in the weakening of the legal profession. For further information you can send an email to chairperson.slsj@gmail.com or visit www.slsj.org
