Janine Filmer - Referral hub
co-ordinator of Heads Up South joined us on the line. We were talking about how they support people who
have suffered a traumatic brain injury and their families. Heads Up was
established to support those who have suffered a traumatic brain
injury and their families after they have left hospital following the work of
Comacare that runs at Groote Schuur Hospital which ensures that the
integrity of coma patients is upheld. Heads Up aims to provide support and to share
information among survivors and families as its vitally important for both to
feel that they are not alone but that there are other people out there who have
had similar experiences. They meet every 1st Thursday of the month between 17:30 and 19:30PM at Vista Nova in
Rondebosch. For further information send an email to headsup@gmail.com
