World renowned South African historian and lifelong activist - Professor Martin Legassick joined us on the line. We
were talking about the historic land case claim that’s currently underway in
Grahamstown’s Salem community. It is reported that at stake is
the old Salem Commonage which consists of thousands of hectares of valuable
farmland in a winding green valley that was divvied up in 1940 between
descendents of the Salem Party of the 1820 Settlers.
