UN Trust Fund extends grant application deadline

We closed off with Neesha Fakir - Programme officer for the United Nations Women in SA to tell us more about the UN Trust Fund in Support of Actions to Eliminate Violence against Women and its call for Proposals: Cycle 17. The United Nations Trust Fund in Support of Actions to Eliminate Violence against Women is accepting applications for its 17th grant cycle (2012) from government authorities, civil society organisations and networks including non governmental, women’s and community based organisations and coalitions and operational research institutions and UN Country Teams (in partnership with governments and civil society organisations). It’s inviting proposals in the following areas of action such as closing the gap on the implementation of National and Local Laws, Policies and Action Plans that address violence against women and Addressing violence against Adolescent and Young girls. The deadline for submission of applications is the 12th of February 2013. Applicants are invited to submit grant proposals for a minimum of US$100 000 up to a maximum of US$1 million for a period of two to three years. The UN Trust Fund will not accept applications submitted via e-mail, regular post and/or facsimile.
