Badisa vows to bring violence stats down

Annemarie Bezuidenhout - Director of Communication and Resource Development for Badisa was also instudio to tell us more about the reported increase number of women and children being abused. Badisa is a social service organisation that aims to take a stance to fight for the protection of vulnerable persons as it creates safety nets in communities, care for children in programs and protect women in crisis. They have vowed to continue their efforts to educate, encourage and serve communities in need to bring the higher number of violence down during their 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign “Say N to violence against women and children”. 800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese.
