In today's show, we were joined by Marie Sachet and Kaye Cloete - Arts Outreach Programme Coordinators at the South Africa Education and Environment Project. We were talking about the “Love the way you Art” Fundraiser event that will be hosted at the City Hall on the 26^th of October. SAEP established its Arts Outreach Programme in 2007 to provide an avenue for young people in Philippi to build skills and confidence, develop their creativity and engage with social issues through art and performance. This once-off benefit show will showcase all the richness of Cape Town’s cultural scene – from opera to hip-hop, folk, rock, and ‘Karoo’ blues, as well as award-winning performance poetry, and recitals from two of the city’s premier dance companies.
