12 September - Gender - iThemba Walkathon registrations open

In today's show, we spoke to Vicky Saunders - PRO internal communications and corporate affairs manager for Avon Justine. She was speaking to us about their iThemba Walkathon that’s open for registration. Avon Justine will be hosting the iThemba Walkathon again this year which aims to generate massive awareness of breast cancer in South Africa as breast cancer survivors in their pink sashes will lead the walk. Last year saw a record of 12 000 participants in Cape Town and a whopping 15 000 participants in Johannesburg. The day will offer amenities and facilities such as food stalls, with fun activities for children including toddlers and various display stalls including a stand for special pink iThemba products that will be available. In addition there will also be some exciting live entertainment and as always participants that wear the most visually appeal pink outfits will stand a chance to win spot prizes. You can register on www.ithembawalkathon.co.za as the first13 000 Cape Town walkers to register will receive a goodie bag with Avon Justine products and an iThemba Walkathon t-shirt. Registration costs just R85 per adult and R60 per child over 12.
