We also heard from Hilary
Lane – CEO of the Western Cape
Cerebral Palsy Association. This week marks the National Cerebral Palsy Week. National
Cerebral Palsy Week is celebrated annually to recognise the achievements of
people with cerebral palsy and to create greater awareness, understanding and
acceptance. The association says it takes many forms as no two persons with
Cerebral Palsy are precisely alike since some are so slightly affected that
their disability is barely detectable, while the most severely affected can
have multiple and profound disabilities. For further information you can
contact the Western Cape Cerebral Palsy Association on (021) 685 4150 or visit www.wccpa.org.za
