Down Syndrome SA is hosting 11th World Down Syndrome Congress

We also heard from Vanessa dos Santos - CEO of Down Syndrome South Africa. We were talking about the 11th World Down Syndrome Congress 2012 that’s currently taking place in Cape Town. The Congress is being hosted by Down syndrome South Africa with the support of the Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. The theme of the Conference is “The Big Five” focusing on: Rights, Health, Education, Employment and Social Integration for people with Down syndrome. The congress will bring together people with Down syndrome, Professionals, Parents of Children with Down Syndrome, Government Officials and activists from all over the world to craft an agenda with priorities which will assist in taking forward matters affecting people with Down Syndrome globally.
