30 August - Labour - North West University to host extrusion workshop

In today's show, we heard from Professor LJ Grobler - Head of the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing at the North West University. He was speaking to us about their latest innovation that is expected to boost job creation in rural areas. Extru Africa is an initiative of the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing at the North-West University. It comprises of the organising of general extrusion workshops, specialised training seminars and annual international extrusion conferences. There will be a one day introductory workshop on Extrusion as a Processing Tool to create new businesses and sustainable job opportunities. The workshop will be happening on September 27th, 2012 at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Bellville Campus from 8:00am to 16:00pm.
