In today's show, we heard from Professor Linda Brand - Subject chair for the faculty of Pharmacology at
North West University. She was speaking to us about the
side effects of students using Ritalin. With Matric finals just weeks away, it
appears that students are misusing Ritalin as a study mechanism. This came to
light after media reported last week that students who find it difficult to
concentrate are abusing the stimulant to improve their studies.
