04 June - Health - Male infertility common problem for men

In today's show, we spoke to Professor Thinus Kruger - An obstetrician at Aevitas Fertility Clinic. We were talking about male infertility. Male infertility refers to the inability of a male to achieve a pregnancy in a fertile female and is a result of a mans lack of ability to deposit adequate numbers of healthy, mature, functioning sperm into the female reproductive tract near the time of ovulation. In most instances male infertility is due to deficiencies in the semen but some other causes are due to Pre-testicular, Testicular and Post-testicular factors.
