Zakheni Arts Therapy Foundation celebrates 10th Anniversary & Arts Update

We also spoke to Lesley Bester – Project Manager at Zakheni Arts Therapy Foundation. Zakheni is a non-profit company that provides psychological and emotional support to children, adolescents and adults through the medium of the creative arts therapies. The focus is on the process, the expression and the integration of different aspects of the self in a non-judgemental space. This year they are celebrating a 10 year anniversary and the celebration will include 4 performances by learners from Joe Slovo High, Belhar High, Hindle Road West High and Eersterivier Secondere, these schools being recipients of their Schools’ Dramatherapy Project. The event is on the 16th of June and tickets costs R100. They would like the public to help with donations as well.
