In today’s show, we spoke to Xolile Mateza - From ICASA’s Cape Town regional office Consumer Affairs Division. We were talking about World Consumer Rights Day. It was commemorated on the 15th of this month and the theme was our money, our rights campaigning for real choice in financial services. The following eight basic consumer rights such as the right to satisfaction of basic needs, to safety, to be informed, to choose, to be heard, to redress, to consumer education and to a healthy environment were developed over time by the consumer movement and is now the vision which define and inspire the work of the consumer international and its members do around areas such as financial services and communications.
