MEDO kicks off a nationwide campaign
We closed off the show with an interview with RenĂ© Truter – Director at the Micro Enterprise Development Organisation or MEDO. MEDO connects large companies with emerging micro and small enterprises that are at least 50% black-owned. By partnering with large organisations based in South Africa interested in improving their standing under the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act, MEDO facilitates micro and small business development and supplier relationships. Last week they facilitated a workshop in Gugulethu as part of their nationwide campaign to train and advise people on basics of starting and running a business. Rene explained more.
