Dti's Co-operative Incentive Scheme gaining momentum
We spoke to Khanyisile Mathenjwa - Deputy Director the Department of Trade and Industry. We were talking about the dti's Co-operative Incentive Scheme. Today at the Cape Town Premier Yearling Sale cooperatives that have been funded by the dti will be selling their horses. The cooperatives, which are from KwaZulu-Natal, Eastern Cape and Western Cape received grants ranging from about R150 000 to R300 000 from the Cooperatives Incentive Scheme of the dti in an effort to increase the participation and competitiveness of small enterprises in a high value niche sector such as the horse breading industry. Ms Mathenjwa explained more. For more information about the dti's Co-operative Incentive Scheme visit www.thedti.gov.za
