Wage disparity between top execs and entry level employees too high in SA
We closed off the show with a feature produced by our news reporter Khanyisa Tabata. According to Professor Barney Jordaan - Director of the Africa Centre for Dispute Settlement at the University of Stellenbosch Business School, the wage disparity between top executives and entry level employees in South Africa is particularly high in comparison to other developing and in some cases, developed countries. Professor Jordaan says “South African companies are facing extreme pressure to address growing employee dissatisfaction due to wage disparities." He says employers must review existing structures, as well as investigate the most appropriate method of remuneration for their company structure. Do you agree or disagree?
