29 November - Human Rights - Epilepsy South Africa launches the Help Keep Us Safe campaign
In today’s show, we spoke to Wynand du Toit - national office fundraiser at Epilepsy South Africa. We were talking about the Help Keep Us Safe campaign. With the commencement of National Disability Month in November, and the lead up to International Day of Persons with Disabilities on the 3rd of December, Epilepsy South Africa has called on all South Africans to help keep those most vulnerable safe. The campaign aims to shed the spotlight on shocking acts of violence and violations against human rights that people with disabilities often face. South Africans can pledge their support to help protect their fellow citizens living with epilepsy and other disabilities, by sending a short sms with their name and donation pledge to 082 769 9754 (Standard sms rates apply). If you would like to help or for more information contact their offices on (021) 595 4900 or visit www.epilepsy.org.za or send an email to info@epilepsy.org.za
