18 November - Arts, Culture & Environment - Climate Smart Cape Town Campaign hosts Inspiring Change Gathering
In today’s show, we were joined by Steven Granger – Manager of the Climate Smart Cape Town Campaign. Climate Smart Cape Town is a campaign to help residents of Cape Town learn about climate change and how they can take action, as well as to learn about the actions already being taken by the City of Cape Town and other leading public and private sector organisations to mitigate and adapt to climate change. From today till Sunday the 20th of November, the Climate Smart Cape Town Coalition in association with the African Centre for Cities at the University of Cape Town will host an Inspiring Change Gathering. The aim is to stimulate fresh thinking and share ideas about our city as well as foster conversations beyond policy in order to point toward new possibilities, moving the discussion away from what we have to give up toward what we can create. They are inviting the public to celebrate a climate smart Cape Town at “climate smART” in the Green Point Park on Sunday, 20th of November. From 11am until 3pm for a day of good food, fun, music, entertainment and art. For more information visit www.climatesmartcapetown.co.za/climate-smart-cape-town-free-event-20-november
