Understanding Borderline Personality Disorder
We also heard from Dr Chris Verster who is a Psychiatrist from Stikland Hospital. We spoke about Borderline Personality Disorder. According to experts, Borderline sufferers have extreme and long standing instability in their emotional lives, as well as in their behaviour and their self-image. Dr Verster explained more about the symptoms and whether it is a treatable condition or not. For more information visit the South African Society of Psychiatrists on www.sasop.co.za or the Mental Health Information Centre, on (021) 938 9229.
