26 October - Gender - Single Parents in Action to host empowerement workshop
On Sakhisizwe today, we spoke to Nokuphiwa Katom – Chairperson of Single Parents in Action. Their objective is to support and empower single parents through interactive workshops covering the three core aspects of a human: emotional, mental and financial. On the 12th of November they will be hosting a workshop in Khayelitsha. The purpose of the workshop is to inspire everyone, both males and females, young and old who have made it and who have not! They have organized successful individuals like Dr. Montrell Greene to come and share their journey, experience and advice be it in business, relationship or career. People will have time to ask questions. Noku says they are expecting 150 people to attend. Tickets costs R45 at Computicket, and at any Shoprite or Checkers store.
