We also heard from Yandiswa Mazwana – Coordinator at Ilitha lomso project. Yandiswa started collecting plastic bottles on the beach. With a group of women, she began making art out of these plastic bottles and they produce popular sculptures and homeware products. Most of the products are made from non-recyclable plastics. For more information contact her on (021) 785 1515.
Nigel Vermaas joined us for the Arts update, to share with the listeners what’s hot and what’s not in the Art sector.
