Retrenchment Procedure simplified

We closed off the show with an interview with Nowethu Ndiki – Commissioner at the CCMA. We were talking about retrenchments. Retrenchments refer to when the employer terminates the services of an employee for economic, technical or structural reasons. The Labour Relations Act regulates the procedure that is followed when retrenchments are initiated. Nowethu explained more about the process to be followed. 800 million people around the world are living with obesity.

  4th of March is observed as World Obesity Day and we spoke to CEO Professor Pamela Naidoo and Dietitian Kinza Hussian from The Heart and Stroke Foundation.  So according to the World Obesity Federation, 800 million people around the world are living with obesity. And then also in South Africa almost 65% of women and 30% of men are classified as being overweight or obese.
