In today's edition of Sakhisizwe, CCMA Commissioner Nowethu Ndiki, shed some light on victimisation in the workplace. According to the Labour Guide, labour law does not specifically
prohibit victimisation of employees but employers need to make sure that their actions do not infringe on the rights of the employee and the provisions protecting the dignity and respect of employees as stipulated in the Labour Relations Act . If you feel that you are being victimized, harassed or intimidated at your place of work contact the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration on 0861 16 16 or (021) 469-0111 for further information on how to remedy the situation.
