Unemployed youth invited to join the National Youth Chefs Training Programme
We also heard from Graham Donet – General Manager for the South African Chefs Association. We were talking about the National Youth Chefs Training Programme. The programme runned by the South African Chefs Association and the National Department of Tourism will see about 800 South Africans between the ages of 18 and 35 with a matric qualification and currently unemployed with a passion for cookery and the hospitality industry trained as professional chefs. The programme is aimed at job creation, which is said to be a key priority for government and the tourism industry. Graham explained more about the application process. Due date for applying is the 31st of March. Please state your province on your CV.
