Unionist gets an award
We also heard from Wendy Pekuer - General Secretary of ‘Sikhula Sonke’, a South African women led trade union, which represents rural women farm workers. Wendy received an international recognition and award from WWSF an international non profit organisation with United Nations consultative status. WWSF programmes serve to help implement women and children’s rights and its principle objective is to empower women and children.
