City's WasteWise Community Training Programme facilitators graduates & Arts Update

We also heard from Leander van Oordt – City of Cape Town’s Head of Public Awareness and Education for Solid Waste. The City of Cape Town Solid Waste Department’s WasteWise Community Training Programme will see 16 facilitators presented with certificates at a ceremony to be held today in Strand. WasteWise is a public educational platform of the City of Cape Town Solid Waste Management Department aimed at raising awareness and encouraging action to minimise waste, end illegal dumping, reduce littering, and increase recycling. For the duration of the programme the city hopes to determine and investigate possible sustainable waste education and recycling for waste wise schools and communities. For more information, contact the City of Cape Town’s Public Awareness and Education Department on (021) 400 2292.

Nigel was here for the Arts Update.
