04 February - Arts, Culture & Environment - ACT Festival Programme calls for grant applications
In today’s show, we spoke to Nomalanga Nkosi – from the Arts & Culture Trust. The Arts & Culture Trust calls for applications for the ACT Festival Programme. South African arts festivals are invited to apply for grants which will facilitate the participation of young artists from peri-urban and rural areas. The target group for festival grants is children and youth. Festivals taking place between 1st April and 15th of November 2011 are eligible to apply for support. Successful applicants will be awarded grants up to a maximum of R45, 000. The deadline for applications is Friday, 25th of February 2011.
