We closed off with an interview with Leader Kanyiki Ngooyi – from Sonke Gender Justice Network. We were talking about the Red Card against child sexual exploitation campaign. This is a is a joint campaign by Sonke Gender Justice Network and Grassroot Soccer to prevent child sexual exploitation in Southern Africa during and after the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It is reported that child sexual exploitation affects millions of girls and boys globally and is a growing problem in southern Africa. They are currently hosting workshops in various communities about the campaign. Leader explained more.
