06 November - Arts, Culture & Environment - The Artist in the Garden - The Quest for Moses Tladi is in stores
In today’s show, we played a feature about Angela Read Lloyd’s book launched at the Iziko SA National Gallery. The book titled, The Artist in the Garden - The Quest for Moses Tladi is published by Print Matters. Angela says Tladi was certainly the first black artist to exhibit in the South African National Gallery, and achieved wide acclaim. Tladi's daughter Rekiloe and her daughter Sekhubami Tladi were guests of honour at the event. The book is released in three editions (Collectors’, Subscribers’and Standard edition) and is available in all good book stores.
