NEDLAC to host 14th Annual Summit

We closed off the show with an interview with Herbert Mkhize - Executive Director of the National Economic Development and Labour Council or Nedlac. On Saturday Nedlac will host their 14th Annual Summit that will look at the World Economic Crisis and Its Impact on Growth and Development. According to reports, the African, Caribbean and Pacific states are amongst those hard hit by the crisis and want solutions to focus on countering the effects of the crisis. The report furthers state that since the crisis started, these states have experienced major falls in their export earnings; foreign direct investment has slowed down, official development aid declined and remittance flows have shrunken. The summit will be addressed by the Leadership of Organised Business, Organised Labour and the Nedlac Community Constituency. Mr Mkhize explained more.
