11 September - Arts, Culture & Environment - Spier Contemporary 2010 call for Submissions!!
In today’s show, we heard from Farzanah Badsha – Spier Contemporary 2010 Project Manager. The Spier Contemporary 2010, the largest biennale art competition and exhibition in South Africa has opened its call to all artists living in South Africa to begin thinking about how they would like to reflect their experiences, aspirations and visions through new work submitted to this competition/exhibition. The submission deadline is the 30th of October. Ms Badsha explained more on the requirements. Artists can submit any new creative work in any medium. This includes animation, graphic design, illustration and product design. The curatorial team will select up to 100 artists and selected artists will each receive a fee of R4000.
