10 September - Labour - SARS employees continue with the strike
Today we spoke to Suraya Jawoodeen - Nehawu provincial secretary. We were talking about the South African Revenue Service workers strike. SARS employees went on strike on Monday over wages. According to media reports, the workers are demanding a 12.8 percent increase while SARS is offering between 9.9 and 11 percent. Suraya explained more on the current situation. Unfortunately our efforts to get a comment from SARS failed. For more information you can contact the Union on (021) 424 4580 or visit www.nehawu.org.za
