09 September - Gender - changing perspectives through Abalingani Gender Programme
In today's show we were joined on the line by Eric Balfour – Coordinator of the Abalingani Gender Programme at the Olive Leaf Foundation. The Abalingani Gender Programme addresses the issues of poverty, HIV and violence from both a man and woman's perspective, empowering South African men and women to overcome their challenges and become powerful participants in their communities. This programme is committed to educating men and women across the country on gender issues and developing the roles which men play in society. Mr Balfour explained more.
